A Destination to Welcome Everyone
Mānawa Bay is nestled on the water’s edge overlooking the mangroves, a convenient 4-minute drive from Auckland Airport and approximately 25 minutes from the Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland CBD, making it easily accessible for both Aucklanders and those visiting from out of town.
We are excited to be welcoming customers to Mānawa Bay over the launch period 19-22 September. To make your shopping experience at Mānawa Bay more enjoyable, we have compiled some travel tips on getting here.
Top Tips:
Public transport is a short walk from the Hape Drive bus stop (around a 10-minute walk). Bus stop IDs: 2396 and 2421 and you can use AT’s bus planner.
You can take the Airport Link orange bus, which connects with the wider public transport network. You could travel all the way from the city centre to the Hape Drive bus stop for $6.
Extra carparks will be available, you’ll be directed into the closest carpark. All carparks for Mānawa Bay visitors will be free and some of the carparks may require a short walk or bus trip to the centre (with free buses running every 10-15mins). Just follow the signs and our friendly team will point you in the right direction.
There will be some temporary road closures in place surrounding Mānawa Bay:
Jimmy Ward Crescent will be temporarily closed to through traffic but will be open for our customers coming to the centre; Nixon Road will be temporarily closed to south bound traffic. Please follow the signs that will be in place to direct you where you need to be.
We recommend coming from the north (via SH20A, ie George Bolt Memorial Drive), for the easiest access to the carparks, rather than the southern entry (Puhinui Road), which can see congestion at peak times.
We recommend carpooling with friends and family where you can.
Mobility parking will have priority directly outside the centre – please ensure your mobility parking permit is clearly displayed at the front of your vehicle when approaching the centre, so our teams know to let you through.
Lastly, please remember there’s plenty of time to come for shopping over the weeks and months ahead.

Public transport is available via the Airport Link bus service via Auckland Transport. Key stations to catch this bus are via Manukau and Puhinui stations. The key stop for Mānawa Bay is located on Hape Drive, from this stop it is around a 12min walk to the shopping centre.
